Somewhat more detailed than a 1955 recut (original LXT matrices were hopeless - ditto S.Domestica/Quixote)..    Sleeve-note >>>

Not a highly regarded cycle - bought this (+ no.2 - have 1/4 as LXT) 30years back.
Performance described as 'flaccid' (similar to Barbirolli/VPO) however clean copies of the SXL's are scarce - technically fine with a slight side difference.

The original LXT transfer is very nice ('creamy') - but this has more clarity, albeit slightly overbright (a c.1955 transfer is in-between) and without some noticeable 'hum'.     2011 RMCR Chit-chat re Rose's version      LXT 2549 sleeve-note   >>>
