    1. Would've been happier to have avoided 'de-click' - but this is my 1984-ish deleted copy from Farringdon Records in Cheapside @ £1.49. 'Pictures' sounds more spectacular than the Muti/Philadelphia, IMO.
      Used a Dynavector Diamond PU for a change (also for the '49/'50 Boult, elsewhere)...though suspect I slightly mis-aligned it - as saw a slight RH channel imbalance..
      Been too cold these several months to do transfers - which require 20/21 centigrade - as would now cost a Fortune to bump the heating up.......

      Incidentally..had long been intending to upload my original 1957 33CX Karajan version (not played so good) as it sounds different to the Stereo (I bought the SXLP reissue around 1980) especially towards the end: 33CX more dynamic/powerful - and wondered if the sessions were different as there was additional recording during the 1956 Verdi "Falstaff" sessions - so perhaps the 1955 stereo tapes were defective in places??
