No further uploads on this Blog. The cost of equipment/internet always rises (ie: a Decca Gold cartridge is now £847..internet +15%/yr - and new/obsolete PU/stylus's have become very rare) Relying on 'some' Contributions to offset this/my time spent (Many Hours) is inappropriate (eg: 1 Contributor from Japan - but 1M+ page views..) so any new files will be on ............................ IF YOU'VE ENJOYED ANY (OR VERY MANY) OF THESE UNMOLESTED LP TRANSFERS THEN A MODEST CONTRIBUTION WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH APPRECIATED.....

Decca  ACL 16  (LXT 2549) 1959 pressing/c.1958 matrices: ARL 409 -7DR / ARL 410 -7DR   Recorded: 16 June 1950 - Musikvereinsaal, Vienna.
The original LXT transfer is very nice ('creamy') - but this has more clarity, albeit slightly overbright (a c.1955 transfer is in-between) and without some noticeable 'hum'.     2011 RMCR Chit-chat re Rose's version      LXT 2549 sleeve-note   >>>

  1. Thx for that post.......The cover is amazing as well !!!!

  2. You know you can always take the thanks as read, but I'll add them anyway.

  3. As it happens, I think not. I'm sure I've never heard these in any format. I do have Aus Italien in storage, but don't let me stop you...

    1. Herr Strauss' Maus Italien (only have the ACL of that).
The later Krauss/R.Strauss have somewhat Gloopy LP sound, so am not really tempted - though the ACL of Furtwangler's Franck Symphony is very good sound-wise (maybe he told the Decca Engineers where they could go and stick their microphones...)

  4. This may be the Golden Age of Triangle-recording though...
